Probing is a thing of the past why risk it?

Sure, some reptiles are sexually dimorphic, but most are not.  Sex determination has often been done with popping or probing in the past with unreliable results that risk harming your pet!  Ten years ago we determined that their had to be a better way!

Looks male when him because they see "extra tissue," but probes female. "He's" on the smaller side & has a neurological issue. So... I'm a vet tech. As I said, not free. And I've had 2 males probe as females by a vet who works with exotics regularly. DNA is far more accurate.

I am going to do this for my three Eastern Hognoses. It is inexpensive, and I really dislike taking them to the vet for probing. And they are really too small and young to probe.

I cannot wait! :) Baby Easterns are pretty difficult to sex. Popping is not always accurate, and as I said, they really are too small to probe. And they are not easily sexed by tail shape and length like Westerns are.

As someone who has been in the hobby for almost three decades, I must say this is such and awesome new service being offered to the community. I know there are plenty of "experts" who don't need this service but hopefully, those parties will understand the true value...and at ONLY $15! The cost for this service is miniscule in the big picture especially when you compare the potential risk to your snake and the potential risk for keepers of hots. I have no used this service yet but might just give it a shot with one of my danger noodles after his/her next shed cycle. I am sure everyone will now take this comment seriously after using the appropriate terminology. :)
